ABOUT THE KIDKONG ASSOCIATION
The KidKong Association (KKA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing afterschool and out-of-school programs for underserved youth. Since 2018, KKA has worked with over 600 children and teens across the United States, offering them opportunities to engage in activities that are often unavailable in their communities.
Our programs are specifically designed for inner-city youth aged 5-17 and typically run for 6 to 12 weeks. These programs are flexible and scalable, allowing us to meet the unique needs of our afterschool and out-of-school partners. KKA began with a single program that used the sport of boxing to help students understand and manage their emotions. This program was extremely well received and has been offered in afterschool programs in Atlanta, GA; Cleveland, OH; Orlando, FL; Camden, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Brooklyn, NY, Manhattan, NY and Dallas, TX.
In partnership with The City of Atlanta's Parks and Recreation, KKA offers its programs at the J.D. Sims Recreation Center in the Old Fourth Ward. Here, an afterschool program is provided for the youth of Old Fourth Ward, operating Monday through Friday. These programs offer a safe and supportive environment where students can engage in sports, arts, and academic support, keeping them away from negative influences and helping them build a brighter future.
KKA is continuing to expand its offerings to include a variety of programs to ensure that underserved youth have access to enriching activities that foster their growth and development.
